toronto,
i want to touch up the exterior spoiler on a 1991 tsi, the one that wraps around to the doors, and the mirrors. theyre both black and starting to fade.
what kind of paint would i use to make them look factory again?
thanks

hmm...well get the paint code first from under the hood or inside of doorjam, go to your local body shop supplier and get that color, doesn't have to be PPG or House of Kolor, just a decent automotive paint and a good clear. Omni is a decent cheap name to go with and it is made by PPG.
If you can't use a spray gun most paint and body suppliers can put it in a rattle can for you and leave the extra in the regular can to take home. Do that with the clear also. Take your time and use light coats and let the tack in between. let the last color coat dry completely for a few hours and then hit it with the clear a couple times, 3 if you plan on sanding it and then buffing...room for sandng/buffing errors.
Good luck man.

so can i use the stuff at my autostore here, "exact match" chrysler black?
it comes in a rattle can, and the color code is worn out under my hood.
i assume you can use this on plastic correct?
