Hello,

I am thinking about painting my 1G Eagle talon. it is an AWD. I do have a couple of questions though, I am thinking about sprucing up the exterior with some body mods, but I don't want the body kits that are out there. Dragon Z looks like $hit and the drift kit doesn't match the lines of a first gen talon/eclipse. I was thinking about mixing up parts from different kits to get the look. What do you think about this:

For side skirts: 90-94 Eclipse Combat side skirts
For rear bumper: 90-94 Eclipse Neo Combat rear bumper
For front bumper: 90-94 Eclipse Neo Type X

I was thinking about getting some canards or something just to spruce up the front end alittle. I would replace the stock exhaust with an Apex N1 exhaust to make it alittle more complete in the rear.. What do you guys think about that set up? oh and stock spoiler stays, no stupid "wings" for me..The website where all of this can be found at is:

http://www.asylumms.com/

Just go to the import link, then mitsu, then eclipse (89-94) then body kits.

also, I think that if someone made carbon fiber pop up head light skins (90 to 91) to match a carbon fiber hood, it would look alot better..

Anyway, I haven't decided on a color yet, its still a ways away (spring break hopefully)

well if u like it, then go for it :thumb: but ur plans sound pimp! and if could when you have them on ur car, post some pics for us so we can see your baby:cool:

I have no idea what you are talking about with those kits. I haven't done a lot of research on body kits for the 1gs (for obvious reasons), but I do admit I love this rear bumper. I have no idea whose car this was on. A long time ago I also changed the car color from maroon to black to get a idea of it on my car. Just to give you a idea here is a picture...

dayum......that is the only rear bumper that i like besides the stock one. Which kit is that? One clean ass 1g. NOICE!

A body kit is the last thing on my list of wants, I ll admit, but I do like the drift kit front end, The only problem is that there is no rear bumper that will work for the talon without some decently major glass work to it. Was that one in the picture photoshopped, or has that bumper been modified?

No I think you can buy that bumper straight out as a direct bolt on. The black one is photochopped but the marron one is the origional. Cant remember whos car it was. I looked into that bumper before and it was around $300 alone but it looks clean.

The body kit combination you are looking at is basically the same combination I have, except I ordered from different places. Do you still have the stock turbo panels on? If so those need to be removed first and all of the holes closed.

Hello

teams2n, I would give you my left arm for your car! :D Well, maybe just my sister (I need my left arm, LOL)

I really like the combat body kits, they look alittle better then the others.

mike

ProjectAWDeagle, thanks for the compliment! Thats OK I wouldn't have much of a use for two left arms anyway:D I agree, I think my bodykit flows great with the natural lines of the car. The other kits just seem like there out of place. I do like the drift kit, I think that one is a little bit bigger though.

Hello Teams2n,

I have one or two other questions for you. I was wondering what you thought of putting bucket seats in a talon. I see that you installed aftermarket seats in you talon. Would you recommend getting a "fixed" position seat for the driver (I was thinking of a Sparco Evo 2) and an adjustable seat for the passenger (Sparco Torino). What do you think of this?

Mike

Mike,

As far as the seats go I would say it depends on how much you drive your car. I think my Tenzo seats are very comfortable. I don't drive the car a lot but its nice when I take the car on trips to shows. I've been in friends cars with fixed seats and I think they can be kind of stiff. They give more support but aren't to comfortable after a while.

Roy

Hello Teams2n,

Thank you for your comments. I think that I will go with the adjustable seats instead of fixed position. I am thinking either sparco or recaro

Thanks, Michael
