Hood Latch?

I am wondering if there are any differences between a 99 hood latch and a 1996 hood latch. I just got my cf hood from VIS and the hood latch seems like it is a half inch short on my 96. Anyone had this problem? THe guy I bought it from ordered me a 99 even though I told him it's a 96. ANy help would be appriecieated.

i think it would fit cuz im pretty sure cf hoods for 2g's fit all years. i think the only differenence in the front of the 2g eclipse's is that different headlights and a front bumper. i could be wrong tho so dont take my word for it

Use hood pins and forget about it?

I would use hood pins on a CF hood anyway.. It will seriously suck if you get to watch your $400-500 hood fly up and over your car..

The problem with my car was not the hood latch. I believe my radiator was too high up, it has been a while so i am not sure.

well all i did was put on a different 95 hood, so i dont know why it latches any differently.
