Cleaning Headlights

i have this haze on one of my headlights. what is the best way to clean it off?

toothpaste actually worked on someone's car that I know. I also heard u can wet sand them with really fine sand paper.

I started wetsanding using 1000 grit, then 2000 grit. then I used some meguiars polishing stuff(came in a 3 stage kit) Then I used the meguiars liquid wax that came with the kit. Last I used meguiars gold paste wax. It sounds like alot, but it only took me about 10-15 minutes a light. I only did the outsides without taking the light off the car. It looked so good, I decided I didn't need to take apart the housing. If yours isn't too bad, I would try to get away with just the polish and the wax.
