looking into new lowering springs and have seen drop zone a lot from diff vendors, wondering if anyone has these springs and how they ride and look and how much drop to they give, i want to do it the right way this time and get a really low aggressive look but no more bouncing( shop messed up my coil overs and cut them) wondering if i should spend they extra 100$ or so to get eibach or h&r?
thanx

I use them. IMO, they're a great deal. I paid about $130 shipped for them and they give a pretty nice ride especially being I'm still on stock struts, I've also got a friend with a gst who switched over from eibach's to dropzones and said these actually felt better...plus they lower you more. The drop is about 2", so be sure to pick up camber kits as well. I would highly recommend these springs.:thumb:

definately, I got the DZ coilovers from ebay, and i have them at about a 2 inch drop, and im VERY pleased with them. Im also riding on stock struts, and while the ride is rough, its GREAT for the twisties

These things suck. They start off 2" htne sag like hell. THe ride sucks on them as you will bounce all over the place. They also destroy your camber severely. Spend the money and get better springs IMO. I had mines for 1.5 years and they really suck.

I had this coilovers on my jetta, and personally I didn't like them at all, to the point that I sent them back, they're ok I guess if you don't mind the ride comfort level, But since I do care and they acted very bouncy I wouldn't recomend them...

Get Eibach Sportline's IMO.

You really can't compare lowering springs and coilovers. I've yet to see a non-bouncy set of cheap coilovers...you're going to have to spend several hundred dollars if you want some decent coilovers. I can speak for the DZ springs though. I've had mine on for over 2 years now. No sagging, and a decent ride quality considering I'm still on stock struts and they were so cheap. I've installed this same brand springs in a couple other dsms and an mx-6...all very happy with them.

Ofcourse you have to sacrifice some ride comfort ANYTIME you lower a car. It's near impossile to have a suspension that is as smooth and soft as stock...yet stiff and hard enough to make anykind of improvement in handling.

The ride comfort on this jut plain sux and they sagged to hell on my car. Not to mention they cause severe camber problems on 95% of the cars they are installed on. IF you want to ride that low, i would go with Eibach or H&R....but that is just my opinion.

Camber problems come with amount of drop, not specifically the brand of springs. Ofcourse you're going to get more negative camber on a 2" drop then a 1.5" drop. That really has nothing to do with the brand or quality of the spring though...if Eibach made a spring that dropped your car 2", they would result in the exact same camber problems. Either way, I would recommend camber kits on ANY drop over 1".:thumb:

Well i couldn't correct my camber enough even with the it. Like i said mines sagged tremendously, i am assuming your pair were alot better since your saying you didn't suffer the same problems. I am glad it work out for you and others, but on my gs those springs were the worse things i have ever ridden on. Now i just went for a ride on the 2" IOntrax springs and i love those and his camber was alot better then mines and he was able to correct it w/ a camber kit. I will add the i was using GR2 struts.....I would like to know how you lasted two years on stock struts that low.
