Paint for fuel rail, exhaust...

Any of you guys spray paint your exhaust and/or fuel rail with hi temp spray paint? I'm thinking of doing it (especially exhaust) since my aluminized exhaust (3 months old) is already starting to develop rust spots. Anybody put a special coating, etc on the fuel rail to keep it safe from rocks, corrosion???

For the exhaust piping you could probably use rust-oleum, or you could go to autozone and get some high temp (500* or 1200*) paint ans use that.

Wanna keep those headers for a long time? Look into a special coating called POR-15. They make a high temp coating that looks nice and protects like no other---u can use the stuff on your whole exhaust system, keeps it from rusting, looks brand new. Great stuff. Works on anything metal and rusty.

i wouldnt paint the exhaust, Because it does not to be painted. Its never seen, And the exhaust manny is covered with the heat shield. The fuel rail can be powdercoated real nice

I would look into the stuff sudjested above, but if your cheap and looking for an easy fix, go to your local wally world and look for 1800* paint. it's kinda chalky colored but you need extreamly high temp paint around the exhaust manifold, turbo and dump tube if you want it to stay on. I tried some 500*on the heat shield and 1500* was used on the other turbo that was on it. And the paint on the heat shield burned off! and the paint on the turbo (was put on before i bought the car) was flakeing off easy.
