Has any of you 1G guys done this? which brand powered antenna did you get and how's the fit? Any pointers on what to watch out for etc?

Thanks.

I don't know about the 1G's, but I put one in my '95. I got mine off of eBay for about $50. The one that I bought also came with different spacers to accomodate different angles for the antenna. The only thing to watch out for would be to make sure there is sufficient space for the antenna's motor to fit behind the interior panels. Hope this helps

i tried going the other way, cause my power was broken, but what i found out is.....

Non-power antennas have a female fitting on them, and the cable from the radio has a male fitting, but on the power antennas, its opposite, the antenna has a male fitting, and the cable from the radio is a female fitting, so its kind of a PITA to change it all over.

There are adapters/extensions you can buy. Most audio shops should have them or can order them.
