Just curious where the best place to mount some 4 pt racing harnesses on a 1g with stock interior would be. I'm thinking about saving some money to buy some universal bucket seats to put in my laser. I hate these automatic seatbelts. Plus my mom complains they arn't very safe.

If I got some seats and some 4 pt seat belts where would be the best place to mount them but still have the back seat(what little one there is), still accesssable.

And how wide is too wide when it comes to seat. I don't want the drivers seat rubbing on the center consol and getting the brand new seats warn out real quick.

Thanks

At the bottom of this page is an illustration about where to mount your seatbelts. NEVER MOUNT the harnesses to the floor directly behind the seat UNLESS you have a bar behind the seat so the belts go straight back for 8 inches or more. Otherwise if you get in an accident the belt will actually crush both of your collar bones. Looking at that illustration, the "D" mounting point is where you do NOT want to mount them. Hope that helps.
