I'm in the process of a complete physical make-over for my 92 talon tsi. I'm not having any trouble getting the interior parts, it's the exterior that's proving to be a bit more difficult. I've found a few things here and there at local yards, but 98% of it is in just as bad condition as the parts already on my car. I'm wondering if there is a place to buy OEM replacement exterior parts(sideskirts, those damn door panels, rear and front bumper covers, etc...) other than the dealership that has them for good prices. I don't want to pay huge amounts of money for dealership direct parts, but I want quality parts that will make my car, after the paint job of course, look brand new again. Any thoughts, ideas, or experiences that might help me out? Thanks in advance everyone!

The only option on that site was for Mitsubishi Eclipse parts. None of the exterior parts are interchangeable between Eclipses and Talons. Unfortunately, I've got a Talon and want to keep it that way. Thanks for the info though. Anyone else got info?

let me know what you need i can get after market parts through my body shop at a discounted price im shure i can beat any dealer price and quality would be amazing prolly could work it out were it goes to your door for shiping depending on were you live

Maybe someone could write up a "How to make friends with a body shop" article for people like me and stick it in the tech section? :p
Also...while you people are racking your brains helping me out, let me ask this question too: Can all the mounting hardware be bought from the dealership at a reasonable price(you know, the plastic screws and plugs for the door panels etc...)?

Dang...I checked out the Chrysler Parts Direct and the savings aren't all that great. Guess I thought there would be a source selling the parts for a lot less. There's no way I'm paying $430 for a rear bumper cover. I suppose I'll just have to keep my eye out for like-new condition used parts. Thanks for the info everyone.

yeah ill deff be able to do alot cheaper cause i price and aftermaket front bumper cover i can get it for 80 bux no joke and they wont 381 alot of the time factory direct is hella more expensive ill get back to you one the rear bumper cover

Buy your parts up here in Canada 90% of cars are Talons as we did not have any Mitsubishi dealers untill 2002. I will get you the web sight for a large scrap yard here in Toronto. P:S your dollar is worth $1.47 CND shop till you drop.

Hottalon92...a website for that would be great. Have you, or anyone you know, been able to find good quality, like new parts at those places? I definitely want as good as I can find for the best price possible. Thanks for your help! :thumb:

That link doesn't work...should it be dominoauto instead? Let me know so I can hop on this! Woooohooo!

Hottalon...I put in a parts request and for some reason it wouldn't let me use my email address so it never went through. Perhaps this has something to do with Canada/U.S. email or something? I'm not sure. If you can, let me know how to fill that form out correctly using my email address. Chances are, I'm just slightly retarded, LOL. Thanks again.
