1990 Stereo Wires????? What's What?

I just bought a new Kenwood MP3/CD player, and I'm all excited, but I can't figure out which wire is which behind the stereo. When I bought it, there was already an aftermarket unit in it, so the plug has been cut off and only wires remain. Help!!

Can you backtrack off the old stereo's harness? on aftermarket systems white, grey, green, and purple are all speakers. Red and Yellow are power and black is ground. That's fairly universal, so if you backtrack off the old wires and reconnect your new wires...when I get home I can crack my chiltons open...guess I ought to bring it to work. If you still can't get it we could hook up this weekend. I have free time early Saturday or late Friday and Sunday and I'd be glad to help you out.

14 No can do, it didn't have one and the harness is clipped off, all the wires are open and taped (previous stereo was stolen.) I need to know which wires are which so I can hook up the wires from my kenwood.
