My driver side window has about a 4 inch scratch, like some one took a key to it. It's a vertical scratch. Anyone have a fix for glass scratches? Think insurance will cover it under comprehensive? My deductible is $100. I'll post a pic if needed. It' doesn't look TOO deep. So I'm guessing it's not a crack.

You could have it professionally buffed out at a glass shop....but I would think it would be cheaper just to get a whole new window. I had to replace mine once and picked one up for about $60 at a junkyard.

My insurance should pick it up under comprehensive and it shouldn't affect my futures rates right? I don't really like working with windows (don't wanna slip and drop the new one) and rather have it professionaly done. That's why I chose to go with the $100 deductible because I figured shit like this would happen.

Never fails. I still need to change my timing belt, my brakes are goin out, someone scratched my driver side window, and I'm getting a rattle in my bell housing when the clutch is engaged. ugh!

So I'm trying to get an appointment at AMS for my timing belt but they are always busy when I call, I ordered my rotors, brake pads, break lines, but the brake lines are back ordered until next week so that's gonna put me back some too. Atleast my MBC came in today after waiting for 2 weeks :)

previous owner must have been hated. my driverside window got more then one scratch. looks like a lil kid used a key like a crayon and scribbled all over it. u cant see it unless you look at it right. im not gonna bother with it, unless i go to get my windows tinted. then it would look pretty goofy. i need to find a salvage yard around here with 2g's

Go to your local Murrays and look for a windshield crack fixer.

Ask the guys up front.

I had some punks shoot BBs at my windshield and this stuff does wonders.

Its basically some glass resin that you force into the hole and it fills up all the spider web cracks.

For scratches like yours, you put some on the crack and put a clear shield (supplied with kit) over it. After the resin dries, you scrape off the excess with a razor blade.

The kit is $9.99 and is yellow.

What is "Murrays"? We don't have those around here...
