How to....racing seats???

Does anyone know how to install R1 racing seats on a 98 Eclipse?

Well, not to be smart but he said they were R1's. Did you buy the brackets with them? If not you will have to make brackets. I'm doing the same install in car when it is back from paint.

R1 is the company? Then what model is it?

They only make one seat in different colors. Mine are blue/black. They require brackets, weither they are bought or made is a different story.

I would think that you can use any brackets made for and Eclipse, you'll just need to drill new seat rails holes, maybe not...example: I have CR1 (Corbeau) and the brackets from them also. I can still use those same brakets for other seats. I might have to drill new holes for the new seat's sliding rails but the brackets will work with non-corbeau seats. So if you need brackets and those seats do not come with them just go to Sparco or Corbeau and get brackets.
I had though about getting new seats from OBX since I am not liking the cloth material and my brackets will still work
