Can I sand off all the rust and clear coat my rotors where the wheel attaches (not where the breaks touch the rotors) so it won't rust again? Or do I have to paint it then clear coat it? I just want the metal look and not paint it if I don't have too. Thanks.:|

They do make a high-temp clear...which you could use. I did mine in dark grey 500 degree paint and it lasted for about 6 months, but burned up and flaked after I drove from NC to FL. I would recommend the 1200 degree paint....it's less than a $1 more, so why not. Better to be safe than sorry.
