i am having a problem though.
the spoiler is red and my car is white.
does anyone out there know how to take off the red paint without damaging the spolier.
if anyone out there knows how take off paint and reapply paint please let me know.

Usual choice is stripper, but I don't know what kind of plastic the spoilers are made of, nor what chemicals will bother it. Your nearest automotive paint supply store should have the inside line on all this, and the proper products to use.

ummm, don't remove the original paint. it works especially well as a smooth base.

just sand the red paint with 400+ grit to rough up the paint, then shoot it with a good sealer/primer. then wetsand the wing with 600 grit paper. ( the smoother the finish the better the paint will lay)

when you apply color you have a choice of single stage, or basecoat/clear coat.

since your car is white i suggest a single stage. (easy)
if your car has a pearl in the paint then you have to use base/clear.

apply the paint in even strokes ( don't rush the application)
and then wet sand with 1400-2000 grit sand paper, and buff with a good rubbing compound, polish.

if it all sounds complicated, thats because it is.

or you could just take it to a local bodyshop, and have them paint it for the cost ofwhat you would use in time/materials.

oh yeah i belive the wing is fiberglass? if so do not use any type of stripper, as it will ruin the glass.
