Subs question.

I want to get rid of the huge sub box in my car. I see in import magazines that people bolt the subs to the back for the seats. Now my question is, do you have to cut a hole in your seat for the sound or do you just screw them in facing the seat without cutting?

first you need to have a sub that can run "free air" no box

the next thing is that you will need to put a board on the seat so that the sub will seal.

free uses the trunk as a box you will not get the same volum from the subs and im not certin how well it will work in a hatch back ive only seen it on cars with trunks.


and no you dont need to cut a hole in the seat

if u want to save room in ur trunk, just get a JL Audio stealth box and get a good 10" sub, like the eclipses or power series RF HX2's....enclosed subs sound a lot better than free-air subs if u ask me.
