Cleaning the black material on top and around the wing.

Ok, I have a 1g TSi an the roof and part that comes down, and the 3 piece wing all are made of this wierd material that smears easily and shows everything, you cant clean it with water. I seem to remember readin somewhere of a way to clean it up. Any suggestions or first hand knowledge?

windex doesnt work, you spray it on and it looks good for about 5 minutes then just dries and goes back to normal.
