I'm getting four new speakers for my Talon. I'm not going to get a sub or amp, but I want pretty good bass and all around sound. Should I go with some 3-ways for front and rear, or 2-ways for front and 3-ways for the rear (or maybe 4-ways)? Thanks.

Go for your image up front, then fit in some 6x9's in the rear and throw in a coil to cut the highs. You want to keep the mids and highs in front. Seperates are the best way to go, you already have four speakers up front, so swap the dash with tweeters and put the mids low in the doors.

you're gonna want components for the front (tweeters, mids, & crossovers) and either some 2-ways or just mids for the rear. and it's almost impossible to get decent bass or mid-bass or let alone any sound quality whatsoever without using an amp. most decent aftermarket speakers need alot more than the 20 watts your cd player puts out (assuming you have a decent aftermarket cd player) in order to make them sound as good as they should. i'd suggest a small 4 channel amp, hide it under your seat or on the rear of your back seat. something that does ATLEAST 50x4 rms should be sufficient. goodluck!
