Well it finally happened, I rear ended someone. Luckily their car was fine (just needs paint on the rear bumper cover.) and nobody got hurt, but my car is fuct (thanks lowering suspension). Anyway If anyone can help me out I need a white (pref.) hood, driver fender, front bumper cover, driver side headlight (97-99), radiator, radiator support (the part that runs across the front when you pop the hood), AC condensor core, and fans ( i think thats it). I would post pics but I wouldn't be able to look at them everytime I come on here. If anyone can help I really would appreciate it! It really sucks cuz I had my car 95% finished (just fmic, and some door dings I wanted to take out) I should probably just sell it and get a 1g turbo awd or gvr4, But I love my car too much. Oh if anyone has a pretty cheap fmic with pipes I might as well put it on now. Thanks

I feel ya man. A couple of months ago, about 1/2 mile from my house, a truck in front of me slammed on the brakes and I hit him. Did you get charged with anything? I didn't get a ticket or anything, lucky I guess. I had to get a new hood, radiator, a/c condenser, a/c and engine fan and get cracks in my bumper fixed and all painted. Costed me about 1100$

As for the front bar, I just took the old radiator and etc. off, and took a block of wood and a hammer and beat the crap out of it till it got straight. Call around to a bunch of junkyards, the parts costed me 300$, I did the work myself except the paint and body repair.

Luckily my friend has a stock white hood cuz he bought a cf one real cheap from a friend whose car got "stolen" is what i heard (like a 100 bucks) and a big greddy fmic for 350! Dammit im gonna be buying a small greddy fmic for 450! oh well, if anyone has any hookups on parts pm me, Im desperate.

A few weeks ago I bumped in to a Ford SUV. It ####ed up my car really bad and I thought he had no damage no dents or anything.. just paint, so i went and fixed my car out of pocket. He comes back w/ estimates of 600 for just a ####ing paint scratch... argh. Nah, my rear bumper, lights, quarter panel and suspenseion were ####ed too, having little cars sucks.

Sorry about your car, it blows... will insurance cover any?

They'll cover the other dudes car, but i am going to fix mine myself (to keep premiums as low as possible) plus i know i did the job right and didn't get fuct by body shops. Tonight i pulled off the hood, front bumper, radiator (and fans, the fans are salvageable) ac compressor, and pass fender and threw them all away (sans the fans and fender). It doesn't look all that bad, the frame was untouched (thank you lowering suspension) but the radiator support is coming out tomorrow and a new one will be bolted and welded in. The plus side? Im gonna do a fmic cause there's no point in doing all this work and then taking off the bumper again to put it in later. I will have pics of the car when it's done. Unfortunately i don't have any pics of "before" to compare with, but it looked like shit ( i couldnt take pics, i was too anctious to rip off all the messed up parts). Best part off all is i'm saving thousands of dollars that I would have to pay someone to do the work that i decided to do myself. I didn't think I was capable of fixing the wreckage but i feel that i have it completely under control (i have never done body work before but i did the turbo upgrade, fuel pump and other little things, but nothing to this proportion.) Anyway, if anyone knows good paint places in tucson, hook me up. Or if youve got a hood (cf or stock appearing) I need to buy. sorry for the book:laugh:

i know someone in NJ that basically has a 1g in pieces,
but your a bit to far, goodluck man...go for a 1g:thumb:

I actually just rearended a car two days ago as well...stop and go traffic and this 70 year old man braked hard and suddenly. Well this guy was french and pretty pissed, however his wife was really nice. There car was left with scratch marks that WIPED AWAY, you can't even tell it was hit, mine however...the headlight was pushed down slightly so it's pushed up against the bumper, i have a dent mark in the bumper beside the mitsu emblem. My hood has kinks in it. From the left side you can partially see into the engine bay, I was soo pissed....well it's gonna cost me ~1500$-2000$ CDN... anyways, good luck with your repairs

Thanks, its coming along realy well. I didn't think it would be this simple actually. All I have to do now is get the radiator core support out and get the new one in and i'm basically done, well the new body panels need paint still. I got a few estimates before i started and it was between $3000 and $5000 to fix (fuc satan) I have spent 600 so far and i have all new hood, fenders, front bumper and radiator support. My friend is getting the scratches out of the headlights. Stuff just needs to be painted and put back on. not too difficult. I really want to thank most of my family for doubting me because that just made me more determined!OMG

I got someone from a local dealership to do it "as a side job" but he's still gonna paint the peices in the paint booth, plus its all he does all day so it should look good with no dust or anything. but he said it would be 600 for hood, front fenders, frontbumper, radiator support, and the passenger side aero kit (the stock one on 97-99's, i scratched it 4 months ago pretty bad) at least the car will look new again:rolleyes: im 1200 in debt now. What the hell might as well throw a fmic in and go 1600. I took the car to a few local repair shops, they quoted me between 3000-5000 dollars OMG , i was like "let me see what i can do" I knew i couldnt mess it up any more than it already was. So I started ripping away at it. Its actually very easy, just takes some work.

Yo man, this is scary...the damage on your car sounds exactly like the damage on mine...including the scratched headlight, etc. I know it's coincidence since that's what'd happen in a front end collision, but damn..same time and everything. Well my wallet will be empty for a bit.
