A few days ago I refinished my rims on my Talon (I had the suspension on for awhile now). I actually only got 2 done so far. I was going to do the other 2 the same, but I wanted to get your opinion before I do the other ones. I used a Rustoleum (sp?) Gloss Black enamel paint w/ their Crystal Clear coat. Its funny though because when I sprayed the clear about 15 hours later my nice gloss black turned into a wrinkle finish. It made me mad, but I can deal with it.

I am thinking about striping them and respraying them with a Dupli-Color paint. I hate using the Rustoleum paint because it takes too long to dry. In the time that it takes to dry, it is filled with small dust specs (even in my garage with water covering the floor).

Does anybody know how long Duplicolor paint takes to dry? I know Krylon takes hardly anytime to dry, but that is an acrylic paint.

Anyways, here is the pic. Let me know what you think...

Oh, and that is the new suspension. KYB GR-2 shocks w/ Eibach Sportline springs.

Thanks man, but I guess you missed this part.

I was just being honest.

I know, its cool. That is why I asked for opinions. I am repainting them tomorrow again. I got Duplicolor Graphite wheel paint and Duplicolor clear coat. I will post pics again. I hate that wrinkle finish. Thanks for everybody that gave me comments or suggestions!

98RedGs - I am going to follow your directions. Thanks man

Just a note on long drying... some of those long drying paints are an epoxy that will bond better.. that's why duplicolor is just so damn good :D

I hope that duplicolor graphite turns out well for ya, I am very satisfied with it. Just remember USE THIN COATS, that is the most important aspect.

Ok, thanks! I hope it turns out good too. Did you just follow the directions on the can of when to clear coat? I think it was 1 - 2 hours after you spray the final coat of color to follow up w/ clear.
