Gotta couple newbie questions???

I just got my 1991 laser rs 2.0. first question is about my head liner. its falling and im not exactly sure on how to fix it. and the rubber piece by my windshield that holds it up is liked all wrinkled and crappy. And i also plan on making my car a 2 seater. i don't want the back seats at all but i also dont want it to look like crap. has anyone ever done it. i heard it can be done with some ply wood and some carpet that matches the inside of the car. just take out the seats and cut the board to fit the shape of the back and lay the carpet over it. is taht right or is there a better sturdier way to do it..

some people have put in storage bins from rx-7's...try searching for that, prolly weighs alot less then wood
