center consol cd-player area mod..Help Plz

I was wondering if anybody can help me with this..I would like to put whole plate that goes over the whole area where the cd player is..I want to remove the holder?(thing that is below my cd-player) here is a pic of it..plz can anybody tell me whole I can put a whole plastic plate in this area??

cut out the area...leave a bit around the edge...cit a piece and glue it

I don't know about you but I like my open slot, I put cd's sun glasses, etc there. However, yours looks butt ugly (sorry to say). I don't know what you could put in there but that's a small slot. Anyways, it'll look boring just flat and plastic, unless you're going to put gauges or turbo timer in there...

that was my suggestion... if u had a turbo dsm, i would throw a turbo timer in there, or cut it a bit wider and put a TT and a boost controller.

you could do guages but that would require a lot of work

if you wanna elimanate the hole go to your local audio shop and tell the to sell you ABS plastic a nice sheet so the way you can cut the radio shape out and make it fit the counsel if your not a handy person with tool's STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THEM j/k have the shop do it for you,,later

Thankz alot H82BLEGL i'll go call them up and see how much I can get one put in...and I am puting gauges in there thats why I don't want tht slot there..HRC stage II turbo..boost gauge and air fuel ratio is going where the slot was and EGT is going in my cigrette lighter..

I acutally took out the radio head unit and the lower free space and am in the process of having two rows of gauges put in there. I'm not sure what i'm going ot do with the sound system yet though, i'm thinking of hiding the head unit in my trunk and just putting a sensor around where the cig lighter is so i can control it with remote. i'll have pic up when i'm done.

the easiest way to do what you are asking is to just go to an audio dealer and buy "1 DIN plate" to take the unused space. a few dollars and five minutes later, done. although i have to agree that the little space can be usefull.

thankz alot you guys for the help! wow didn't think I would have a thread this popular.. if i had a better picture of it you can see that mine looks like crap the previous owner must have taken it into a audio shop and they must have put it in kinda funny The only use I have for it now is to put my cd's in there but I kinda want somthing new in there Apexi AFC or gauges...
