i was an installer and ran into problems too, our speaker size sheet at work said they were 6 1/2's all around but there not. the fron door speakers ARE 6 1/2'S but the rear speakers are 6X9's dash are 4" but i fit in 3 1/2's because thats also what the spec sheet said. if u have any questions pm me i should be able to help you out.

Some are 6x9's in the rear and 5 1/4 in the doors, and some have 6 1/2's all they around not every 1g has the same speaker sizes in it, just depends on the model.

if the car has the infinity system it has 6 3/4 in the front door 4in in the dash and 6*9 in the rear. If not you have 6 1/2 in the rear and 5 1/4 in the front. The dash speakers are "4in" but the really arent I tried putting 3 1/2 in and they were too big so I had to custom install them my self.

not to be an a$$, but you might have confused someone...i believe u meant 6 1/2..not 6 3/4.... and as far as i know there isnt really anyway to tell if u have the infinity system then cause my car had no infinity markings anywhere...i still think that the best way to find out for sure so u dont buy the wrong speakers is to have a look..the doors speakers/ rear speakers/ dash speakers all are very easy to access. spend the 1/2 hour and find out that way u know 100%.

Close. 6.5 6 1/2 13/2. That is the correct speaker size. I have yet to find a 6.25

No there isnt any markings...but if you have speaker grates on the dash then you have the system. Oh yeah they are 6 3/4 speakers I had to get a bracket for my 6 1/2 to fit in there. Plus there is no such speaker as 6 1/4...although there is 5 1/4 but that speaker doesnt come with the infinity system.

check here for info: www.crutchfield.com

yeah either way... I found that there arent enough choices with 6 3/4 so I went with cheaper 6 1/2(because the bracket came for free, crutchfield) and there isn't a difference between 6 1/2 and 6 3/4.

i went with infinity all around...IMO thats one of the better mid range speakers out there especially if u have a sub. sorry bout the slip up, i changed it now. my **6 AND a 1/2's** haha in the front were a tight fit in that plastic speaker spacer...but they fit perfectly after screwing em in carefully. so be careful when buying your mids...and 6X9's that u dont get a kind with to deep of magnet...i actually had to hit the metal behind the 6X9's with a hammer to make them fit...it worked and u cant even tell from the outside that i bent it.

Sweet. Thanks for the update. Hey, BNPIMPN, does yer name read Bean Pimping or Ben Pimping? Either way, weird hookers in yer stable, good luck...

no reason to apoligize...because I f*** up all the time(and you didnt). Yeah infinity makes great speakers, but my favorite of all the speakers Ive used is blaupunkt. Ive used some good and bad like jensen, sony, rockford, cerwin vega, infinity, blaupunkt, pioneer, and kenwood. Dont get me wrong there are always better speakers...but for 100 beans you cant beat that plus the clarity and bass is out of this world, people ask me if I have a sub.

Well, If you ever decide to go with subs, Infinity Perfects sound absolutely prestine w/ an amp. Image Dynamics are also nice. Boston Acoustics are very nice as well.

thats funny...should put that in the free mod section..LOL..yeah i agree that those infinity subs are pretty good...BUT very over priced...i think that MTX are the best for price and sound.. thats my opinion...one of the other installers had 1 mtx thunder 8000 12 and got 148 decibles in a competition....for those who dont know...130 decibals is about as loud as a gun shot. and about every 3 decibles the spl doubles, 130 is also known as the human ears thresh hold of pain. all i can say is AWSOME bass for cheap.

alright thanx everyone. so im gonna buy some 6 1/2's for the front and 6x9's in the back. so when i take my stock ones out do i just unhook them and then hook up the new ones with the same wire??? is the intall pretty easy???

yeah lets just say it was prolly the easiest speaker install i had ever done...but like we said if u get to deep of 6X9's you'll have to use the "hammer mod". ...heres an idea...the day ur going to buy the speakers...remove the back seat..and all the clips holding the rear panels on and make sure there 6X9's....then leave it all dis-assembled...that way u can buy the speakers...and install them right away...you'll have to cut the clip on ends off the wires (but remember to leave a little bit after the clip incase u want to re-install factory stuff later if u sell the car...it makes it 10X easier) strip the wires..and crimp on the proper female connectors for the speakers..... and ur set, be sure to connect the speakers properly on the wires...and thats about it.

Just did a 6x9 conversion for the 6 1/2 openings for the rear due to the Infinity confusion. Thank God for a Dremel and a Drill. Also got rid of the cheesy grill covers from the stock panel. Alpine's covers and kewl blue woofers are a waste not to show.

Just curious if the 5 1/4 holes will fit the 6 1/2 with minor drilling or will it require another Dremel job? I wanna make sure if it's worth just going with what fits from Alpine. Thnx in advance.

like i wrote before my speakers in the doors were 6 1/2's...ive had to deal with getting begger speakers in a smaller hole many times at work, and YES, if they dont fit nice like mine did there will be a fair bit of cutting involved. you'll prolly have to trim the whole plastic spacer down ALOT. my advice to u would be pull out the door speaker and see if the new speaker fits...mine never looked like it would, but after trying it out it fit in there like a glove. try it out and if u need help p.m. me.

hahaha glad to see someone else did also

The rear speakers in my car are 6x9". the door speakers are 6 3/4" and the dash speakers are 4". I don't know what it sonds like though. The former owner was fiddlin' around with the stereo and now the head unit doesn't work.
