Can you just pop off the screen covering the speakers or do you have to remove the whole door panel and back panel?
 
However, pulling the panel isn't much more of a deal than pulling the screens. Remove the rear seat, 3 screws, four or so trim clips. Make sure your new speakers aren't too deep.
 
Does it matter if I cut out the middle metal peice that is making the depth a problem.
 
Yeah, take a hammer and pound down where the magnet hits. I think this goes right into the wheel well so you dont want to cut it.
