Polishing a 1g BOV???

Hey everyone.....I've seen many for sales for polished 1g bov's.....I know how to polish stuff....i did my valve cover....however, can a 1g bov be polished?

Or were these so called polished bov's powder coated polish? thanks for your help

It's cadmium-plated steel, so you'll need to take dust precautions when buffing off the plating, then when you get done you'll have polished steel which will look terrific until the air hits it and it begins to rust. The new "chrome" powdercoat would look best, but I don't want to know how hard they'd ding you to do it.
I just went VHT Bumper Black on mine.
