hey I was wondering if my 92 Plymouth Laser has 6.5'' speakers all around. If so, how much better would the sound be when compared to the stock ones? Any suggestions????

I just go a deal on a set of 2002 JBL speakers (4 of 6.5'') and need some comments or suggestions on this topic.

Will they fit????

LOL! I was thinking the exact same thing. Some people are just so damn lazy.

How hard is it to replace the back ones? Is it hard to remove the whole back piece around the back? and would you need to rewire anything? Is there a guide to replacing the factory speakers?

no you just unscrew some screws and pull the panel off then unscrew the speaker unplug the wire and youll probably have to cut that connector off then put new ones on and hook them up to your new speaker then screw it in and put your panel back on.. the end

i think mine are 6.5'' all the way around. It depends on the type of dsm and its options. each differs from every DSM depending on the type of ride you have.

i have a 1g cuz its 1992 Plymouth Laser. Im not sure what the depth of the doors are though.

Hope my speakers will fit.

I took a look at the rear speakers, it seems to me that they are 6.5"
Oh i have a question though...
The factory speakers have like 4 corner things where you screw them in, but the speakers im trying to install dont, how would i go about installing them? Its the same size, they fit, they just dont have the extra corners for screws...

hmmm...you could drill out new holes, but make sure you but that isolation speaker foam so you get crisper sound and no outside interference with the sound. Thats about all I can think of right now. Props to ya keepin this forum up!!

there is no way there are 6x9s in the front... only the 5 1/4 s with the 6s in the rear....
and if you are replacing the speakers replace the head unit while your at it... will make the whole thing sound better... and there will definitly be some soldering involved....

IM looking to replace my infinity speekers in my ride what size is best i know the rear are 6x9s but what are the front 6.5 ???

sorry i should have written it in there i am a 2g 1996 Eagle Talon Awd Tsi

Rear: 6x9
Front: 6 1/2's ??
Dash: 4" ???
