60mm gauge pod [Merged 8-8]
Hello everyone, I just bought three HK$ 60mm gauges that won't fit in bore-out A pillar pods. I began removing the center cluster panel and viola, the three gauges fit like a glove!
That was the easy part. Now I need to figure a way to relocate the A/C and heat control knobs to the stock CD deck area. I know I've seen Tom Stangl relocate his control knobs and it can be done, I was wondering if someone has a VFAQ for it. Pics and some form of instructions would be awesome! Thanks in advance.

60mm Pods for 1G
I'm not as up on the 1G parts so I have a question. Does anyone sell a 60mm dual pod for a 1G or am I going to have to ream out a 52mm pod to make it fit. I thought Lo-Tek sold them but they are only listed for the 2G. Thanks for the help.

If you're willing to consider sitting it on top of the dash (check out the "show me your gauge pods" thread a while back) the Carbontrix 2-gauge pod is pretty sweet.

60mm gauge pod [Merged 8-8]
Where can I get an Autometer 60mm gauge pod? I've looked all F**** week! I looked on the Autometer site, I know they make them for 1g's, but I cannot find them anywhere! I swear there is a freakin conspiracy against 1g's I've seen dozens of 60mm pods for the 2g.

Remember with auto-meter you are looking for a 2 and 5/8inch gauge pod not 60mm

I have an Autometer pod and bored it out to fit my 60 mm Defi's. The whole time I was doing it I was thinking there was no way it was gonna fit, but it did. Just go at it with a dremel.

yes, i have a 52mm triple pod with one 60mm gauge in it.
dremel it.
try to do the top one if you can, because the bigger gauge will be obscured by the pod above it.

Ya, I've done it, what kind of pics do you want? Without the gauges? With the gauges?

These aren't the best pictures in the world but you'll get the idea. When you're done boring out the pod it seriously won't look like the gauges are gonna fit, scared the crap outta me. But the really really thin side walls will bow out and the gauge will fit perfectly. Make a template of the gauge out of paper to guide your dremeling. The template will overlap the sides of the pod, but don't worry because like I said before, the pod will bend.
Here's a couple pics with them in:
And here's a pic where I was trying to show how thin the side wall is:
Hope I helped and good luck.
