I'm going to be putting an amp under each bucket seat. What should I use to mount them. I don't just wanna run a sheet metal screw through the floor. What would be a better way to attach them to the floorboard?

I dont have any other suggestions than some self tapping screws... I just got lazy and put mine in my trunk....

(this pic is from my amp install Chris and I did earlier 2nite.. Props Chris for the design and implementation..)

If you take a look underneath your seats you will see a metal pan that prohibits you from placing the amps underneath. Your best bet is find a different location and fabricate yourself an amp rack. Sorry for the bad news.

why couldn't I just drill thorugh it. (sory if it's obvious but I don 't get my car till thurs so i can't go look)

It is actually a pan underneath the seat and attached to the seat. It is was gives your bottom that wonderful support. It also attaches to the brackets of rails. You could possibly weaken the seat by doing this. I already tried this when I got a hold of my girlfriend's car and found this out the hard way. (I tend to be very impatient and don't always think things through :D!) I just bolted it down in the rear until I have time this summer to fashion a whole hew setup. Can't live w/out my tunes. I hope this helps.

thanks. I'm just trying to find a way for amps to be out of line of sight, but with proper ventalation so they don't shut off all the time.

I was going to se if I could modify or make custom supports for the seats and if that's too hard I'm gonnaa put them on the seats

i secured my amp to the backside of the back seat. looks really good, and no damage done to the seat. also people can't tell i have anything while the truck is closed ;p might wanna try that if you run out of ideas

if the amp is small enough it willl fit under the seats ( thats were the stock amp is ) as long as its small enough to go between the seat rails and not to tall. ( my laptop will fit under there ) ya could go with the spare tire well if ya loose the spare also.

You have to remember that he is running a 1G. I doubt that he would have sufficeint enough popwer to run a sub if he was able to find an amp that would fit under the seat. Highly doubtful that he could. I have had ratchets get stuck under the seat.

If you never have passengers, you could mount the amp to the back side of your driver's seat.... the wiring could be run underneath the seat and hidden/protected from damage.. I still think the best place is on the back of the rear seat but it's all about prefrence.. if it's small you might even be able to hide it underneath the big panel that your rear speaker-grill is attached to. I've heard of that before...

well I have two amps and the box is too large to fit in the trunk already (with cover). Has anyone ever mounted amps to the bottom of the trunk cover?
