2G: High Rise Spoiler Repair?

Ok so I bought a High Rise Spoiler at a part out for $45.00.

I was wondering how much would it cost to fix the crack it has? Where can I take it to get fixed? Also the little black suction pieces on it, what are those and how can I replace them?

or is there a guide on here that shows me how to fix it my self?

What shop can I take it to?

What do you think I will be wasting on the repair?

You should just be able to fiberglass it. If you do a Google search ob fiberglass repair, you'll find videos on how to do it.

I agree. I would fiberglass it. It's actually really easy. I recently did both of my fenders to repair cracks and chunks missing. It's also pretty cheap DIY. You can go to Home Depot even to get a repair kit.

you know what man I did my own talon high rise spoiler swap, it took so much time and effort on my part it turned out ok but later on I found out you can buy the entire hatch with spoiler for $100 just swap out the hatch and its done.. but you have to find one first.

I actually did do that. I swapped my Rs Hatch for a High Rise spoiler hatch. The only negative, was that the spoiler is chipped on the left side, /: .

Hell yeah man slap some fiberglass on the inside of that bad boy and resin the cracks in. Should do fine. I wouldnt use anything but fiberglass tho. Bondo and jb weld will most likely flex and crack.

To Repair fiberglass cracks,
1. use a dremel to "V" out the crack, and any surrounding cracks
2. Rough up the crack, and surrounding area with 80 grit.
3. clean the area well
4. apply FG resin, mixed according to manufacturer's specifications
5. apply "Chopped" fiberglass this will conform to the crack better
6. apply more resin
7. use " woven" matting
8 more resin.
9. Let cure completely.
10. sand, primer, and paint.

Is that a crack or just damaged paint? If its a crack it will likely reappear due to is proximity to the bolts. If its cracked it likely from some one lifting the hatch by the spoiler.
