not much info aside from using sandpaper, here's the deal, busted out my headlights to do the piant the housing mod, figured might as well remove the scratches from a bang up a year ago. I tried sanding it with 800 grit, its still kinda hazy, how fine to have to go to get it to shine like new? I think i read somewhere that 2000 grit

whoa...a pinoy dsmer? cumusta pare?

i havent heard about using sandpaper to work on headlight lenses. but i have heard about using mother's mag & aluminum cleaner to work it out and get that "yellow" tint out. definitely works :thumb:

good luck

heres what i did.
-wet sand your headlights by these steps:
1. use 1000 grit sand paper
2. use 1500 grit sand paper next
3. use 2000 grit sandpaper next
4. use mothers mag and alumnium polish.
- this is what i did and my lights are no longer hazy. u may have to use the 1000 grit for a longer amount of time but just make sure you sand the surfaces evenly.

yep, oks lang pre, hehehe, there are about 100 eclipses here in the philippines, just formed a club with a grand total of 3 members, kupal mga may ari dito, they're all bald guys =)

anyway, my lenses aren't yellow or anything, but I think I'll use up to 2000 grit sandpaper, the hardware only had 800

thanks guys =)

tln, if you're in the philippines, contact me, lets stomp some civic boys =)

they're tricycles actually :D

damn jeepneys, top traffic violators here, plus they're slow and noisy, roads here aren't that nice either,

the majority of tuner cars here are civics, lancers, corollas and sentras, all of them 4 door, hatcbacks and coupes rare here and a DSM is already considered an exotic here

Last I was in Manila, Marcos was still in charge, and they treated Americans like kings. I was in the Merchant Marine at the time, we docked two slips down from the Floating Casino, got "trapped" for a week waiting on the rain to stop so they could unload the hold of powdered milk we'd brought from Sacramento. The coolest cars I saw at the time were the Ford Cortinas that never got to the US... uh, you'll need much finer sandpaper than 800 grit.

cripes that was a long time ago, well, ford is now famous for f150s and expeditions here, not exactly compact cars.

Yep, need up to 2000 grit
