I just installed my 60mm triple gauge pod but what I want to know is how you installed it.

Is the Lotek a direct replacement for your A pillar or do you have to mount the Lotek gauge pod on top of the existing pillar?

I ended up removing the factory pillar and drilling a hole directly into the frame of my car so I could secure the Lotek. Is this how you all did it?

ive done it 2 ways -- they way you did it -( my car ) and in somone elses car i kepy the stock pillar and mounted it to that.

Yes I did it the way you did it. That is the way I believe it is supposed to be done. People think that it came from the factory that way because it sits so flush.

Here is the way I did mine. I took the stock piece, and cut the strip down the center including the clips. Then took that strip with the clips and used 2ton epoxy and epoxied it to the aftermarket one. This has held up very well. Even withstood the accident I had in my old GS-T pictured in my gallery. Plus it is easy to pop in and out like the stock was.

No, the lo-tek doesn't. you need to drill the hole right into the A-beam. make sure you don't go too deep and then screw the mounting screws straight in. If you mount it over the stock one, your gauges likely won't fit. Lo-tek is a full replacement pillar.
