Why the hell doesn't anyone make them anymore? They look sick. If only I had a 2G.

I'm not a freelancer or a vendor but I am in the process of making one as we speak, I'll post pics of the finish product once done.... what I did was bought another 2g bumber and cut out the bottom part and used that as a templet/mold for the carbon fiber..... now I just have to wait for the resin to dry, then smooth out all the edges, sand, compound, and polish.... haven't actually had anytime to work on it due to work and other personal things but it should be done in the next couple of weeks, I'll keep everything posted :thumb:

That's not a lip or a diffuser, it's nothing more than a CF cover.

Still looks killer :sneaky:

Your the man! keep up the good work, deffinately keep us updated. Ide love to see how it comes out.

Wow, that is the first time I have ever seen that. I would definitely buy that if it was sold at a decent price. But if no one ends up making one ill end up doing it for my self. That is so sick.

How to Make Fiberglass Molds | eHow.com

Basically apply release wax to the part you want to copy, then cover it with resin and fiberglass, then pull the part out and you have the mold, then lay the FG or carbon into the piece you just made.

Start with some small flat parts, and work your way up. You can use the cheapest of fiberglass and resins to make the mold. It is really stinky unless you're using epoxy resins, which pretty much double the cost.

^^ agree, there more to our cars than just going fast, im all for function over form, but its nice to see something different after a while.
Not functional. I'm more interested in a functional one.

And yea, but youl need to be in the 10s for a functional one to really make a difference :thumb:

like someone said, 386-Customs made those and bailed on the project with a lot of people's money. The product they turned out looked nothing like that, fitment sucked and they recommended attaching it with double sided tape or plastic rivets. on a $300+ part. I wish someone would make a real diffuser and a lip that WAS NOT carbon fiber

It does look sexy as hell, and if I could get one for cheap, I would. But in the mean time for those of you that like it, but are worried about the FEW ounces of weight added by a carbon fiber trim piece, then just do it the easy way as I have done to my car… it's called paint… I used semi-flat black if you're wondering… :hellyeah:

A rear diffuser is much more functional for a road race car than a drag car.

Haha thanks for the correction, after I posted it I started thinking about it, and was like shit, road race cars are the ones that utilize aerodynamics LOL

Not functional. I'm more interested in a functional one.

For a rear diffuser to be functional, the car has to have a flat bottom. The Toyota MR2, Elise/Exige and other cars that a diffuser helps on all have flat under-tray panels. I'm not sure how the bottom of a 1G looks, but it isn't possible to flat-bottom a 2G. We have too much shit hanging under there.
