center piece for the lights?

does everyone just paint theres to match the car or can you buy solid pieces?can you take the letters off the paint them or just like tape the letters up? what paint does everyone use? also, how do you turn the letters around and all to make them spell speed? i plan on doing then whenever i get my turbo kit haha

You could buy the solid Altezza if you wanted.. and ive only seen it offered with the entire set. I would reccomend getting it painted since i just hate Altezzas. You could get it done for around $50.

yea, thats pretty much it haha, i read a thing on how to do it but i forget the site, its a site that has the JDM taillight wiring on it, ill have to look for it again, what kind of paint did people use?

just use car paint i think they add something to the center piece then paint it just take it to maaco they'll do all the work im pretty sure they have some letters there u can ask them to do SPEED for you

Yeah I just had my center piece painted... I took it into a local paint shop.. it was only $30 Canadian... so that is like $2 US

But instead of putting the eclipse lettering on it I put a "Turbo" chrome piece on it for the Turbo beetle... Here is a pic

i bought the 'eclipse' from satan, painted it, clear coated it and stuck it to the freshly painted center tail light piece. I also added a nice carbon fiber turbo emblem on the lift gate, just to be different.
