Front speaker install?

Whats the best way to remove and change the front tweeters in a 95gst. How do you get those little grills off? You dont have to remove the whole dash do you? Thanks

i dont know about the 2g, but mine (1g) just had a screw you had to loosen, then tug a lil on the piece, and it came out.

You just have to take a screw driver and pop the speakers out, the grill piece is attached to the tweeter and the pop out together. It's kind of a pain, but just pry them loose.

So, now that the tweeters r out, what r the suggestions on replacements?
And how where they mounted?

I got some on ebay called screemerz for 20bucks. They work great and are a perfect fit for the eclipse.

is 4" SZ300 Competition Tweeter the ones u picked up? And do they fit perfectly? Did you screw them in or did they pop in just right? Did you have the infinity system that u took out? Thanks, bud

yeah those were the ones i was looking at myself, they look to be a great fit, except those screw holes, did u screw them in, or just place em in the holes?

I just set them in. Im too lazy to drill them in. They arent going anywhere anyway.

yeah i got those too for like 5 bucks the stock are crap
didn't screw them either no bass no movement
