poynette,
ok, so I bought a spider from the scrap yard, saved it from the crusher. feels kind of like adopting an unwanted puppy. neways, the interior is gutted, having never owned a spider where is the button to put the roof down? any help or a pic would be great.
thanks

its up near the heat/ac vents, down to the right of them. Its above the turn nobs for ac, heat, defrost, etc.
Its a push button, up or down switch.

If the interior is cutted is may not be there.

Get a pic up of your interior man.

And good job saving a spyder!

There's also a switch in the trunk that turns the power supply to the top motors on and off.

thanks guys, the pic was a real help. i am going to have to dig threw the car and see if there are any parts left from the dash laying around. I have a 95 talon for interior parts that i need. sad to say that this one is turning rwd and getting a 383 stroker. havent decided on a tranny yet though. Ive always wanted a convertable and this one was cheep. the fly wheel exploded, destroyed the bell housing and hood. not much left around where the fly wheel was. its a good one to start with for a project.

Good job on the save from the crusher. I just did the same thing myself, just haven't started a thread/blog about it. It is a 95 tsi awd 5spd.....400$
