I'm sorry, I don't mean to be an ass but your entire question is very confusing. HID Conversion kits are made with HID Bulbs built inside Normal Headlight Bulb Sockets, Like 9005, 9006, H4, H1, H3 and so on. So if you ordered a 9006 HID Conversion kit for the low beams of your 2ga, which your stock bulbs are 9006, then you will be fine. You do not have to convert to projectors. Thats stupid. The reason why most people convert projectors, is to convert their ebay projector headlights to house high end real car HID's, with D2S HID Bulbs and D2S HID Sockets. That way giving the best light output the HID Can.

Since all HID Conversion kits come with D2S Bulbs, and they were designed for Projector housings, and your stock 2ga headlights are concidered a Reflector housing, there will be some glare involving the headlights. Nothing you will complain about, because you are going to love the light output. But other drivers will prob flash you to turn your "high beams" off. A good way to try to avoid this is to adjust the headlights down a little. But it might not help.

Glare happens because light is bouncing off of surfaces its not supposed to inside the reflector housing, then beaming directly in the air where people's eyes are. If you look closely inside a H4 bulb, you will see the Low Beam filament has a metal plate blocking the light from traveling down which will in fact be redirected up at someone's eyes. D2S bulbs do not have anything of this, they just light up. D2R bulbs however are made for reflector housings. And you have to buy expensive conversion kits for those most of the time because the companies selling them don't make or have the special type of conversion bulb. So a good way to modify things so that you have bright lights, without pissing people off, is to make your own plate.

What I did, is I took a thin piece of steel plate, very thin, like 1/18th thick, really thin but not something that will melt and mold because of the heat. You want it to be about 1.5" wide and as long as the bulb + a quarter an inch. Then what you do is you bend it long ways into the shape of a C... That way it will slide into the headlights bulb socket and not go above half way on each side. Then you will cut little tabs at one end, about a quarter an inch apart, and you want to bend them at a 90 degree angle. This way you can install it into the bulb socket, and it wont fall into the headlight. Then you can install the bulb over it to sort of clamp it down. That way you made a plate to block light from shining down towards the earth, inside the headlight. I hope this was understandable.

This will give you optimum lighting where it belongs, on the ground! and Not inside someone's eyes blinding them as they are driving towards you.

Once again, I hope this didn't come off rude. Its just the same questions that have been answered numerous times. My opinion to everyone wanting to know stuff like this, is open your minds, buy the product and just have fun. HID Conversion bulbs are not an advanced mod for NASA Astronaughts! They were made so women that don't know how to change the radio station, can swap them out.

So if you ordered a 9006 HID Conversion Kit in whatever color temp you desired, you are set! Plug and Play and enjoy!

hey man thanks alot for clearing everything up sorry it was confusing haha long day and night. But i got the 9006 hid conversion kit all plug and play cant wait to put them in

man, I think this argument is absolutely retarded. I bought hid's for my 1g gsx and nobody ever complained to me when I was driving in a caravan or anything. The problem with people who buy HIDS is that they dont know how to properly readjust their headlights to compensate for the brighter lights. There are writeups all over the internet showing you how to properly adjust your headlights so that you dont blind other people. Now I have the same hids in my 2g and I've never had anybody flash their highbeams at me or anything. Like he said above the trick is to clean sand and polish the headlights as well as possible and then re-aim them so that the lights never shine above another car's fender.

I don't mean to be a douche or anything guys. I just think the whole "hids should be illegal" thing is ridiculous since there's no way you can say, "put a bigger turbo, exhaust, and a whole bunch of other things that modify a car or annoy other people on the road, but when someone wants brighter lights, it should be illegal?

LOL i agree im just gonna aim them down like what was stated clean everything and do it right i just wanted to know if i could do it without projector housings and then blurred had to make it an arguement LOL but thanks for the info from the guys that were telling me the stuff i wanted to know

the way to keep the headlights from "blurring" is to clean them like we said. take some 1500 grit WET and sand the headlight really thoroughly. Then I recommend you use this "cleaner wax" called Zymphora or something like that. Sorry but I forget the name of it. You can get it at any advance auto or autozone. It comes in a round blue bottle. Its the BEST stuff to use. So anyways, wax the headlight and let it haze up real well and then either use a buffer to take it off or just wipe with a microfiber. But I always use a buffer because the heat from the friction always activates the wax better.

Engine modifications don't temporarily blind people at night possibly causing them to not see a pedestrian or other hazards along the way.

Glare occurs well above the cutoff line.

You cannot aim your headlights a little lower and have it magically disappear.
