I was wondering if anyone knows what the 1g BOV is made out of....aluminum? Also I am thinking of doing the Dodge mod and was wondering if there would be a problem closing the hole in the bottom with JB Weld? I dont want it to fall out and get sucked into the engine. But if the BOV is aluminum I can just weld it.

Yes, the BOV base is made of cast AL. I wouldn't risk using JB weld anywhere on the engine if it has a chance of entering the intake of oil. Welding cast AL=good times!

Well i bought a product called Alumiweld and it worked great welding the BOV flange and small pipe to aluminum IC pipe. So i am hoping i can put a small bead on the hole and call it good

You're not supposed to JB the hole shut, you're supposed to use the JB to hold the small cup plug in place once it's threaded into the hole.

This is off topic, but ### is the dodge mod and what does it do? Ive never heard of it.
Search, my son. The Mods have recently upgraded the site with a convenient search bar right at the top at all times.

I understand that you are supposed to put a set screw in the hole and JB Weld the scew in....which would be the same as just welding it shut. Am I wrong?

I was planning on using alumiweld for it...which is why I was trying to find out if it was made out of aluminum.
