Is there an option to installing the a/c bracket JUST to shim the driver's axle?

I'm curious if there is an option to installing the a/c bracket JUST to shim the drivers side axle, well besides the traditional stack of washers that is. I looked online and I couldn't find a list of standard equipment on the GSX to even tell if they were even made. I know it's not a top priority but it would make life easier for future guys/gals doing the a/c delete and might provide a nice retro-fit for those who mounted the bracket.

Thanks!

While that would work, it still amounts to a stack of washers at stealership prices... I was more interested in a flat mount for the intermediate shaft bearing as it would probably be stronger than a modified installation if that makes sense.

Stack of washers here. Measure them to make sure the stack is the right thickness.

Yeah, 4 was the magic number for me. I'm just surprised that there isn't a flat mounted bracket for the cv bearing though. Seems like a huge oversight on Mitsu's part to design it like that.

On a side note, I found wrapping the washers in masking tape once (thin), then punching out the center helps keep them together while you're fiddling with the mount, axle, and bolts. It's my no means going to stay together forever but it will last long enough to install the cv.

I don't think you understand. Mistu would be stupid to make a separate bracket for non ac cars. Think of the cost to make a bracket vs the cost to have a correct thickness washer. The spacer that they sell is a 1pc unit that works exactly as they intended.

I seriously wouldn't worry about it.

I forgot to put washers in mine, and It broke the bolt off in the block. Kinda a bi*** to get to while engine is in the car to remove the bolt also. Will I be ok with just one while pushing close to 400awhp?

i just used the bracket and took off the compressor. What is everyones reason for removing the bracket? No one sees it and it doesn't have that much weight. I was debating doing this too but I figured I'd just leave the bracket on and have it at the perfect measurment.
