Wing question

I have taken my wing off and underneath it is alot of this black crap. Someone told me it was double sided tape but I'm not sure. Can anyone tell me what this is and how I would be able to get it off?

Its probably some type of adhesive. I would try goo gone to get it off.

If I take that adhesive off, will it be affected at all if I put the wing back on at a later date with the adhesive not on there?

Just put some RTV under it when you put it back on. Are the gaskets in good condition? My shit was all ripped up when I removed mine a while ago.

Not sure exactly what you are talking about relating to the RTV and the gaskets. My wing came off clean though.
