Carbon Fiber and Hail

Here's a really random question.

This summer, we've gotten a couple thunderstorms that produced hail, and now my DD is left with 'light' hail damage. Light, as in there's no huge dents, but it's noticeable in the reflections.

Now, I'm contemplating buying a CF hood for my DSM, and I was curious as to how hail affects CF? I can't imagine getting small dents all over the surface, but would it crack at all? I don't live in the midwest, so if the hail is golf ball sized it's a beastly storm.

Thanks.

when we had the past heavy storms and the heavy hail my cf hood held up fine and they were decent sized hail

I really doubt the effects would be any worse on unpainted CF.
But why would you care only about the hood when your whole car is sitting in a hail storm? I'm thinking the paintjob would bead blast off or the windows would shatter before the carbon fiber cracks.

Why am I asking about just the hood? Because that's what got damaged on the DD. Plus it is the largest singular area of the car in plan view.

Sweet. BTW, is that kind of hail normal down here?
