Im trying to find these any one know a site where i can get these at:confused:

Even if you found something like those... what is the point of them? Obviously your car isnt made to handle (stereo) so why try to "stiffen" the chassis?

DV/DT FAB made a bar like that at one time. I'm not sure if they still do. The bar bolted to the B-pillar and had accomodations for attaching racing harnesses to it.

I have spent a lot of time looking for these bars as well. The bar that is closer to your trunk that bolts up to each top seatbelt bolt is called the c-pillar. I have found these bars on ebay and other random places like mach v. They are rare. Now the second bar right behind the driver and passenger seet is the b-pillar bar and are almost impossible to find, but they are for sell at mach v and are called dg harness bar. Good luck...

Are you guys talking about B & C pillar bars? I got my set from Project2G, he sold them to me in the DSM Tuners classified section. They bolt on to the seat belt mounts

They actually do stiffen the chassis a little, but I'm sure they're more for looks. I was just jealous of all those EG Civics rolling around with B & C pillar bars :p

thats the exact same picture i found that i feel in love with so its you :rocks: well yeah i found both already thanks i want these so i have an excuse to say i cant take passengers in the back seat so when i go cruise around my car wont be heavy since already heavy enough :sneaky:

Get on my myspace (profile link) and look for "project2g" He might still even have some adds on dsmtuners.com in the classifields. (420a section) He sold alot of stuff, but I know he had those bars, and was selling them at one point, but he'd at least know where to get them. You can try to get at him on tuners but I dont' know how much he goes online anymore here.

I have a different front and rear strut bars. They are 3 point strut bars. They are custom built by myself. I have photos in my gallery. They are on a 1st gen. They might give you some ideas.

DAMN! That's pricey :notgood: I paid $70 for both of mine from Project2G. When it's light outside I'll measure the length of the bars.

can you do that for me that would be awesome i just want to get some on ebay for like 30 bucks each i measured my car and on the front i think called the b pillar was 45 to 46. inch and the back one the c pillar was 44 thats i what i got but i want to know the right size?

also i want to try something fresh once i get the C and B pillar bars i want to know which one of the letters would work best or look best welded on to the c and b bars

A,B or C

I would try and fab up an "X" brace like they have for Civic hatchbacks :D

Here are the measurements, I didn't measure the length of the adjustment bolts or the mounts (because they adjust to fit anyways) So here is the length of the actual bar itself:
B pillar bar = 40 1/2 inches
C pillar bar = 37 1/2 inches
Hope that helps in your quest LOL

While this isn't a pic of a DSM (obviously) there's a company called "NEXT" that makes a "Miracle Cross bar" for our cars in Japan. While you'll never find one stateside and they cost an arm and a leg, if I ever go back to Tokyo I'll buy a few :D

Or you can install bars that zig-zag from the B-pillar bar to the C-pillar bar and then to the rear upper strut bar. That would probably be the ideal placement for maximum rigidity. But from what I've heard our cars don't really need that much support in the rear

Those aren't going to to a whole hell of alot other than get in your way.

I think foam filling the chassis in specific spot a,b,d,c, areas of the car would be cheaper and would yield better results.

In those locations neither method is going to accomplish much and the foam will probably cost more. Foam filling is a nice additive to a well built cage, but is not that useful when compared to other stuff. Either way striving for the ultimate in chassis stiffness is a bit worthless when the erar is filled with a large subwoofer enclosure.

Chrysler messed with this in the 90's and they even proved my point. Foam filling a car in strategic points helps.

If you are familiar with foam you would know that in order to get a better concentration you need to seal the area off and it . Also so that when the foam is expanding it is packing itself in and this is where the strength lies in.

It is cheaper than you think all the foam making stuff cost 40-50 and the tape, paper, plastic to hold it in you probably have or its no more than 15. Most people can do this in there driveway in an apt complex without a garage.

So for 60 bucks at most you can have a more ridged frame/chassis. The cost of welding in a cage ,the cost or spending time welding in any type of b,c,a pillar peices range a hundred in parts and tools to a thousand or more. Is cheapest if you have access to a welder and the tools for metal work which cost money and again not anyone can have this stuff. Not every one can have one. Anybody can foam fill a car in strategic points to bump up the rigidity.
