Um... thank you. Any upholstery shop can get them for you, too.

A local shop will usually charge more for a whole new skin if they make it. Mostly because a place like katzskins can order the material in bulk and way cheaper.

There's two common ways to do re-upholstery. The most common is to order a new set of covers, such as sold here, and hog-ring them over the original frames, just like the manufacturer does. You can get replacement covers from hundreds of upholstery suppliers, or the dealership, or your shop can order them. If you're experienced or talented enough, you can do a terrific job of hog-ringing them on yourself.
The other way to re-upholster is to use the original coverings as patterns to cut and sew up new covers, like you see them do on the TV shows. Because of the labor involved, this us usually about twice the cost of pre-made covers, and a shop doing that work will usually use better materials than is otherwise commonly available.

Is there any particular reason this procedure is of such fascination for you?
