i just got the center vent dual gauge mount and have everything ready to go for the install. just one question.

in order for my gauges to sit flush to the mounting plate i have to trim the plastic inside the dash. the way it looks to me i will have to completly remove the screw mounts inside the dash in order for my gauges to sit right. it seems to me that if i do this the entire top of the trim piece will be hanging loose and would wobble around alot.

so i am taking a break from that project before i cut some stuff that im not supposed to and end up having to replace unnecessary pieces.

i hope you guys have some advice on this. i know i am not the first one to do this install, but i wasnt able to find anything useful using the search button. thanks.

Bumpin this for ya. ...but I have no clue.

I put one of those in my car. Had to trim out both screws and alot of the plastic. I didn't flop around too bad. What I have done now is I drilled two holes kinda by where the screws used to be and ran a zip tie to hold it together.

thanks for the idea, i will definitly give that a try. really appreciate it man, was starting to piss off my passengers.

me: hey man, you see that round thing on the floor attatched to the wires? pick it up and tell me what my boost is readin'.

passenger: WTF? dude your car is ghetto.....
