I was think about doing a honda s200 taillight conversion onto my 1g eclipse. I was wondering with a black pearl paint job, shaved door handles, shaved side panels, carbon fiber hood, 97 front bumper conversion, Limo tint windows, custom carbon fiber projector headlights and a 5" JSP Blade wing would it look good? How hard would the wiring be? I know how to do the conversion except for the wiring a lil help would be great! And do you think it would look to ricey?

I saw a 2g eclipse with the taillight conversion already done it didn't look that bad thats what gave me the idea. BTW The Wing is very optional.

The only reason I though about s2000 is that they are tight lights on that car and I dont like the taillights of the 1g what do yall think would be the best conversion?

If you like all this Midnight-Custom you have a lot of style that everyone here just can't get with, however I can. I love to change things to be radical. I you do the taillight conversion and it is affordable to you and you enjoy it......than do it by all means. I want you to enjoy your car!!

I am all for it.:thumb:

A cheaper alternative would be to get the Carbon Fiber taillights they make for 90-94 model Eclipses at www.procarparts.com you can get those instead of the S2000 as an alternative. $250-$300 Also check for them on www.ebaymotors.com

If you can get this all together I think it would be tight and you would get a lot of looks, however if I were you I would not always ask hard core tuner guys what they think about altering a DSM this radical......... you will get  Uhmmmmm Flammed:laugh:

Good luck with the project and like Nike = "Just do it"

found this auto trader i think its clean.. but ?? well just wanted to share...

[It was an eye test. We have unfortunate news.]

Im not a big fan of the lights, on the S2000 they look hor on the eclipse the look well :thumbdown . I would have to say the coolest thing i have seen was when someone put 3rd gen RX-7 tail lights on their Eclipse. That was sexy.

try and find that, I've never seen it myself, sounds like it could be nice

ones I have seen: Supra, S2K, R34, R33 (on a 1G), RSX, and some Ferarri although I forget which ...... some of these end up looking ok, but you gotta admit, the way the tail end of the 2G looks stock is already plenty sexy

and some Ferarri although I forget which

Hmmm... I don't know, but I want to say that from that angle, with that rear bumper, it kinda reminds me of a Grand Am....

No offense or anything, just that's what popped into my head when I took a look.

I see that too for some reason

The S2K tail lights don't look that bac IMO but the bumper could be a little cleaner line wise.
And the other set of RSX tail lights on the blue 2nd gen don't look that bad too, but that's probably cause it's wingless and that's sexy :D
