Painted tranny

Anybody paint the tranny before they drop it in? I am paint mine now since it is to cold to work outside, If you have any pics please post.

Ahh now I get it. When I get everything out I am going to do the bay in gloss black and I think the blue will stand out pretty sweet. Just tring to clean up while everything is out.

I painted my tranny, but for some reason i thought it would be bright to paint it black. Generic, ugly, impossible to spot fluids on black. Still looks better than the original though.

I like the blue. Now try keeping it clean...

The high temp engine enamal paint you buy in the rattle can at auto zone. It works great for blocks too.

It came out alot better then I thought it would. I cleaned it with degreaser and gave it a good water spray down. Then after I dried it I went to work. 4 coats of paint with 1 coat of clear. I sure hope this tranny works

Here are some pics of it pretty much done. I am going to polish the cable connectors more. Also the blus is darker in real life. It is not Tar Heal blue thank god(Hook um horns)

Sorry they didnt have DSM colors at the local Auto Zone. I will order some from Japan or somethin
