im thinking of going with wood grain interior. since this is gonna be a show car, and most people want to be a little differant, im thinking of going with the lexus look on the inside while having a mean looking exterior. i havent seen it done with a dsm, and since ive already got black and tan leather, i think it would be pretty cool. it seems like everyone has carbon fiber, painted pieces, or something like that. im just wondering if you guys think this would look good or not.

There is this one guy that has alot of steering wheels which are REALY NICE that have woodgrain on them, go to EbayMotors.com and do a search on Steering Wheels, I know there is alot but you should find it. He has like 20 different styles and colors. Blue with woodgrain, Black with woodgrain, differerent styles of woodgrain.

:dsm: Nate the woodgrain looks rich in a car with black and tan. Your car is black on the outside similiar to high end BMW's, Audi's, Lexus, Mercedes Benz etc, etc.

I don't think woodgrain with black and tan leather would at all ruin the value of your car. You have style and it is a lot more unique/classy/luxury looking than Carbon Fiber and brushed aluminum. I say go for it. IMHO it will look great. It will definitely be different because most Eclipse showcars only go with Carbon fiber or Brushed Aluminum.:thumb:

well, the car is fixing to get a body kit, 4 inch drop, 18's, shaved door handles and washer fluid squirters, and ppg "lemon ice" yellow paint. with the black and tan leather and woodgrain interior, and a nice looking and running motor, i think it should do ok at the local shows this year. i was afraid i was gonna be flamed for wanting to do something like this because any body or interior mods seem to be associated with ricers. just for the record, the only stickers that will be on my car is the dsmtuners stickers and my "piss on apc" sticker im having made as we speak. thanks for the support!

Am i the only one that thinks different? I wouldn't even think of puttin wood grain on my dash/interior. I think wood grain is for higher end cars like they've mentioned. I don't know about everyone else but since when was an eclipse a "high end" car...Not saying anything bad about eclipse's ( i love mine) but I know where to draw the line. O yea, and it's your choice so do what you like :thumb:

well thats my whole point in doing it. i want the motor and body to be tricked out, while having the lexus look inside. its something that you dont see everyday unlike carbon fiber. im ordering the kit next week. i guess if i dont like it after i get it on i can always take it all back off and be out 200 bucks. im pretty sure i'll like it though. just have to wait and see...

we'll find out pretty soon when mine comes in. you can get them from nopi, but they said it takes a while since they are made to order. hopefully by the beginning of the year mine will be here. i'll post pics of it all on there. maybee then everyone will see how good it looks with the leather.
