R1 concepts rotors anyone used?

Have you used any brake cleaner on the brakes to make sure they aren't bad. I don't think your going to find anyone who has used those. The thing about buying cheap is you get what you paid for. I'll be picking up a set of brembo slotted rotors from advace auto for about 16 for the fronts. I personally would rather drop the extra cash then having a rotor break from to much heat and stress or just have it warp due to bad quality. If you try it good luck and let the rest know how they work.

No but I'm thinking of trying them too. I guess since no one has picked them up yet we have no feedback and I might as well be the guinea pig. :) I'll let ya'll know when I get them. Tom.

i ended up getting the ones from tutu auto....theyre pretty nice still giving the brakes a brake in but i mean they seem to be really nice quality.

Received my rotors on Friday. Haven't put them on yet but here are pics.

Rear<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c355/dikdiamond/rearrotor.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"></a>

Hopefully I'll have time during the week to put them on,if not then the weekend for sure. Has anyone else that is using or have used these rotors had any issues with them? Quality looks good(pics are from my cell)

Drilled and slotted rotors are completely worthless unless you road race every day. Just a regular slotted rotor is more than you will need. It keeps the temps. down while maintaining proper braking surface. Drilled and slotted take too much material off the rotor compromising it's strength and giving the pad less surface to grab. The only way you would notice a difference is if you upgraded the size of the rotor. For around $25 you could have just taken your rotor's to any brake shop and had them resurfaced and been good as new.

I did upgrade my front rotors size when I installed dual-piston calipers. And yes I have read up on the pluses and minuses of drilled and slotted rotors :thumb: A hundred dollars for 4 new rotors isn't bad when they are needed;my fronts were already turned down and replacements were needed. I wanted something different that I never had before. If I'm not satisfied I'll try something else. I'm just curious if anyone has had any premature problems with them, hence my post

Does it tell you the material the rotor is made out of? I can tell you the problems that people have by the material that is used.

Umm I'll dig around on the site and their Ebay page...all I see is info about the ISO quality and that they are OEM items. Offer a 90 day warranty against warp or carcking. How much of a difference can the material make? That is something I didn't take into consideration. I thought they were all...steel,right?

Most are made of steel but depends on the kind and how good of a plating they have.

I've had these rotors on my car for a while now (crossed drilled and slotted) and they have been great so far. I actually switched from some old ass Brembo rotors that came on the car when I got it. My buddy who drives a Acura CL also upgraded his stockers to these a few months back.

are these larger than the stock rotors or are they the same size?

hmm....I'll buy a set of these on the first and see how they are...unless someone puts bad reviews on them before then, LOL...

hey i have these they are ok.... i had the dremel the inside of one of the to fit the front passanger side, and everytime i drive it feels like they are rubbing but idk they are ok i guess

I just got around to putting the rears on,and mine drag as well...could be the caliper I got from the junkyard after shearing off the lockpin bolt and not being able to get out the rest of the bolt? *shakes the magic 8-ball* Odds are YES!

Mines not really a problem with the rotors, only my crappy caliper...the caliper I didn't replace doesn't rubLOL might be time to buy 2 new calipers. I bought the SS lines too,and haven't put them on yet though. quality looks good
