i ordered 6 3/4 polk speakers for the doors in my eclipse. are the pannels that hard to remove and take off? the book i have for my car says it is just a few screws. any one have any advice?

not sure if your doors come off the same as a 1g (mine) but i have all of the panels out of my car right now. the doors arent too bad if you get the 5 screws first and then slowly "pop" the bottom edge away from the frame. try to avoid breaking the plastic snaps ... saves you a run to the auto parts store.
make sure you take out the mirror backing cover (not sure you got one of these) it is a triangular piece of plastic on the inside of the door. it pulls out towards the door handle (i.e. opposite from the door hinge). once this piece is out you need to "pop" the door panel UP out of the window edge. if you pull out you break the plastic 'S" clips that hold your panel to the top of the door frame. ( i did this now im waiting a WEEK for the new clips to come in.....). thats about all the tips i can think of but i made it alot longer than it needed to be. hope it helps.

well i came home today and took the driver side door pannel off. it was 6 screws and it poped right off. i was afraid i would need that pry tool but i didnt. now tommorrow when the speakers come i know what i am doing.
