haha let the bashing begin...no one HERE will like it...i personally dont like that one...but unlike most, i do like some of them

I only find that wings like those have real purposes on a car designed for track only use. They serve no purpose in street driving. And the S2000 has no credibility, because if you look, they ditched the near perfectly tuned exhaust for a fart can. And not even a bling one at that.

I would have to agree with the majority of the people posting. That wing has no real functionality. Therefore it is a purely cosmetic application. Every time I see someone put a wing on their car I laugh. Not only does it make the car look horrible, but it also makes the driver look childish. It really screams "Boy Racer!"

If you want your spider to look good, my suggestion is just to wash it and wax it. I found that you get more complements over a nice clean, sharp car than you do with rice and bling.

It's true that it's non-functional. But hey... It's YOUR car man... Do YOU like it? Are YOU gonna pay for it... well then, go ahead!

BTW:
99gst_racer nice spoiler in the pic!

I want that, where did you buy it and how much.
It's not mine, but I almost did buy it a month ago. I can't remember which website had it for sale. It's called the "wangan" and I believe it's made by C-West if that helps. I just tried searching for it, but I couldn't find it again.

It would not look good! It is RICE! Really it has no purpose as far a functionality. Your car is FWD and the wings like that are really made for RWD. You can put it on but it really serves no purpose as far a performance.

But it should be up to you not the members on the board (no offense DSMers). If you like it and think it would look good go ahead and put it on your car. Hence YOUR CAR!! Do what you want with it.

While I wouldn't put it on my car, I guess that ones not too bad atleast its not rediculously tall but on a spyder I think all spoilers look like complete crap unless they are the ones that came with the car. While the turbo wing looks great on the hardtop, I think they look dumb on the spyders. If I was going to get a carbonfiber spoiler I would replace my turbo spoiler with the one that looks the exact same made out of carbon, which I have seen before.

He OBVIOUSLY needs that huge expensive spoiler to hold down his FWD car!

ROFL

Dude with $300 go buy performance parts rather then that

If you have a track car that needs downforce to hold it to the track, not necessarily for accelerating traction but for turning traction at high speeds. Then and only then will I respect any "Wing" .

Other then that I will personally point and laugh. It's actually costing gas mileage to increase aerodynamic drag on your car.
Your money, your car, your life.

Oh no doubt but for street purposes its funny

I'm not a big fan of gaudy wings, but the C-West carbon Wangan wing looks awesome. I also like the carbon OEM wing <---can't remember who sold these but they're out there. Other than that I'd just remove the wing all together :p and by the way that wing is definately rice...

Um the S2000 is a rwd car as far as I remember and 99gtsracer isn't going to be fwd for long.

As far as big wings like that go, that's a decent one, but still a little much for a street car. I'm not looking forward to the day when my car actually NEEDS one.

Hey, whats up Allan. It's been a while.

The wing says fiberglass because it is a fiberglass wing with a carbon fiber overlay. Carbonfiber is a cloth, you can't make anything solid out of it without something to use as a sturdy structure like fiberglass.

yea its been a while..I can't wait to move back to fl. it wasn't fun driving to class today at 6am with ice in my windshield LOL.

I am THINKING of getting the wangan wing sometime in 07 when I get my car painted and do a whole bunch of custom things to it.. if I don't get it I may make a spoiler similar from scratch because that price tag is pretty steap!
