Does anyone with a 2g have the problem where when it rains water comes in throught the speaker panel at the door and soak the carpet? My driver's side does and it's getting VERY annoying having a soaked carpet so much. Thanks!

Its the outer seal that sits against the window, that's whats letting water into the door.

Outer seal... what outer seal?

I'm not trying to be dense but I really don't know. Do you mean that weather stripping that sits along the window at the top of the door? That slim piece of rubber that rides along the window??

The outer weatherstripping is supposed to provide a tight seal against the window when it's rolled up. Also, you can take off the interior panel and check the sheet of plastic that's supposed to cover the entire door. If that's torn or absent, it might also allow water in.

Not a hardtop so I don't have that issue (no no... just other ones...). The plastic doesn't go over the speaker hole, though. I think when it reains it leaks in the door and then into the speaker area and onto the floor.

Thanks for the advice. It'll be a Thanksgiving DSM day tomorrow.
