alright just checked my clutch pedel and its got some play. i will be taking out the dash to replace the heater core before winter and i was curious on how much easier it would be to swap the clutch pedel with it out?

thanks in advance
david

I gotta change my heatercore to :notgood: On top of that my clutch pedal assembly has play. I feel your pain :coy: I've pulled 3 pedal assemblies and only reinstalled one. I've always dropped the column down and layed upside down just long enough to get a migraine, by then you should have it out. Wouldn't be a bad idea to do everything at once, but you'd have more bolts and pieces laying around, which leads to the infamous "where the hell did this go" Good luck, I'm trying to put it off till it gets to cold or I'm bored enough.

well if there is one thing i have done and that was a full interior swap back when i had the poopy brown color (blah) and SURPRISINGLY it wasnt that bad. it took me a few weeks but i swap parts here and there. the dash took about 3-4 hours but i dont remember how easy it was to get to the clutch pedal assembly mainly because i was more worried about how the HELL i was gonna swap vin numbers.

but do you think it will be easier?

oOo btw i just had to add this...

i recently got backed into and it did some minor damage to my car. well im getting about 1500 dollars in repairs for it HAHAHAHAHAA and my dsm is about to own yours on the clean department buddy......:thumb:

Front end damage? Whole new paintjob? My cars pretty but, nowhere near show condition. I really want a carbon fiber hood though :thumb: and a drop in suspension.

If it were me I'd pull the dash swap out the heater core and keep everything that you took out to one side. Then pull the pedal assembly and weld it, throw it back in and reinstall the dash. Just remember where things go!

pshhhh....you are talking to mr. Nhieu here. ALL bolts go back in the holes they came in. BESIDES half the bolts are the same from what i remember. its not like putting a motor together LOL

but yeah i know these people around the corner from my house that do AWESOME body work. im gonna get it painted artic white which is the stock 2g color and gloss black up top. its gonna be clean

im actually happy someone backed into my car hahaha....

Bastard!!! I bought my car with a nice dented passenger side door and a cracked (now epoxied) front bumper. My car was originally maroon and was repainted some off the wall pearl white black top with a ton of flake in it. I wish I could fix the messed up area's but I don't think anyone would be able to color match :notgood:

Wheres your track times?

wish i could go to the track but i wouldnt post good times. my car has been phantom knock hell since i got it. i swaped all kinds of shit starting with a brand new oem knock sensor and im about to call it quits with a dsm chip with the phantom knock elimination code (that i dont think will work). but stuff keeps comming up like the clutch pedel, and i know my tranny is on its way out ### all i hear is gear whine whenever i let off the gas! typical dsm i guess. if the code doesnt work im definetly buying a daily driver and putting in my fully built motor in with hopes that i wont have phantom knock whenever i start her up. i have owned 2 dsm's now and both of them have had PK. its really getting annoying. i mean its a little mean street car but it should be hitting low 12's. i know i can tune the hell outta this thing but the phantom knock scares me with raising the boost anything past the 1 bar my tial wastegate is set at.

but after i get a shep tranny and new clutch pedel assembly i should be alright (cross my fingers and kock on wood) :thumb:
